baseline infrastructure for Music Platform to function
without them, a decentralized future for music would not
be possible.
Worldwide Streaming
Operating a Music Node makes you a pioneer. You’re not just part of the
Music Ecosystem, you power it. Music Nodes are the decentralized framework
that enable worldwide hosting, listening and rewards.
Player Nodes
Music Player Nodes form the foundation of
the new world of decentralized music. Independently operated Music Nodes power
all music in the Music Ecosystem.
PLAYER NODE FUNCTIONS
Host Music
Rather than a centralized structure where a platform itself would
hold all the music and control access to it, every listen on
Music comes from an NFT track hosted on a Player Node or Fan
Node within the platform. Node operators can host their own
tracks or allow other fans to bring music to their Node.
Earn Rewards
As an essential part of the Music Ecosystem, Player
Nodes enable their operators to earn rewards in several
ways in addition to hosting and streaming NFT tracks
throughout Music Platform.
Uptime Rewards
Each Player Node operator
will earn a regular
distribution for having their
Node online and supporting
the network. Even if it’s not
actively gaining listens or
hosting any NFT tracks.
Hosting NFTs
A Player Node operator can
pair as many unique tracks
as they’d like, and can also
agree to host NFT tracks
owned by other fans. Each
listen in the ecosystem splits
the portion of the total
rewards designated for NFT
owners between the track
owner and the operator of
the hosting Node.
NFT Drops
A small portion of the total
created NFTs will be
distributed randomly to
operators throughout the
Player Node Network that
meet the Minimum
Operating Requirements for
that period, ensuring that
fans have access to the
latest music while artists
also immediately get their
work to a wider audience.
Fan Nodes
A Fan Node represents the ultimate fan club for die hard lovers of
any musician or group. These Nodes host and stream tracks
created by a specific artist and put operators in an exclusive group of superfans.
FAN NODE FUNCTIONS
Elite Status
A Fan Node directly supports the artist it’s designed for, and
clearly designates its operator apart as part of a core support
group in their creative infrastructure. Each artist can interact
with this elite group of fans in their own way.

What is a Music Node?
A Music Node, in the most basic sense, is like your own jukebox that the whole world can access. By hosting music on your Node, you can earn whenever someone plays that specific song. Nodes come in two types:
Player Nodes: These are the general purpose Nodes that can play anything. You can host your NFTs, track plays, and participate in the broader ecosystem with these Nodes.
Fan Nodes: These are special Nodes just for the superfans. If you are a dedicated fan of an artist with Gala Music, this is the Node for you. Fan Nodes give you special access to drops only for Fan Nodes, the ability to host and earn as well, and make you part of an elite group.
What type of Music Nodes will be available?
There will be Player Nodes and Fan Nodes. The Player Nodes will go on sale first. Fan Nodes will be released at a later time and have more perks specific to that artist. Think of Fan Nodes like a VIP backstage pass for your favorite artist.
When will Music Platform Player Nodes be sold?
The first batch of 25,000 Player Node licenses was available starting on February 11, 2022, but they have sold out. Watch the Discord community and subscribe for email updates to hear first when the next batch of licenses will be released.
In what currency will Music Nodes be sold?
